Transitional Bright and Light Kitchen:
We used new takes on classic materials to make this light and bright kitchen appeal to both modern and traditional tastes. The kitchen was originally filled with builder grade materials, and had a poor lay out. By making the kitchen U – Shaped, we gained more storage, and counter seating.  Opening the wall cut out was also a huge design improvement, and gives the kitchen a more open feel.  We used wood-look tile, quartz counter tops, shaker style cabinetry, and modern appliances and fixtures to achieve the look.

"S" Transitional Bath

Erin Piar, Baldwin Kitchen and Bath Designer, turned this master bathroom into a transitional space by marrying linear shapes and clean profiles with traditional materials. Her color palette makes for a sophisticated, yet serene atmosphere. Large format tile is juxtaposed with the existing hardwood to reflect the transitional feel our client desired. The room was completed with a custom glass shower and quartz countertops, showing the benefits of modern design and materials.


G Master Bathroom

A transitional master bathroom that mixes both modern elements with a traditional feel. The project was completed with a wet room, featuring a freestanding tub and rain can shower with a slide bar hand shower. The design also included semi-custom cabinetry with a built-in linen closet and stacked tower on the vanity top. 

"C" Master Bath

This master bathroom was designed by a collaboration of designers at Baldwin Kitchen & Bath.  The bathroom is very unique due to the exotic fusion granite from Brazil. The countertop shows variations in both movement and color to become a true statement piece. The bathroom has a custom neo-angle shower, anchored by custom cabinetry. The custom cabinetry was used to accommodate two separate vanities, a makeup desk, and tower storage. The room features a Toto neorest, to offer the peak of luxury. Porcelain tile surrounds the room and shower, with pebble flooring to accent the shower. The room was completed with Brizo faucets, and Baldwin hardware.  The color palette suggests a traditional, yet luxurious feel, perfect for our client’s home. 

"M" Master Bath

Our Designer Lyndsey Bosold helped the clients select tile and plumbing fixtures. She also designed the layout and assisted in selecting the materials and finishes.

"R" Kitchen

Lyndsey Bosold, Baldwin Kitchen and Bath Designer, made this kitchen a transitional space by marrying both modern and traditional materials. She kept the color palette light and airy for a calm atmosphere. The design includes a linear mosaic and cabinets stretched to the ceiling to suggest a higher ceiling height . Custom cabinetry was used to accommodate spice racks, peg board drawer organizers, and other storage solutions.  The project was completed with glass shelving and stainless appliances. 

D Bathroom

This bathroom, designed by Erin Piar, highlights her ability to weigh aesthetic and function in small spaces.

This was the home’s only bathroom, requiring a shorter install time. For this reason, KOHLER Choreograph was installed on the shower walls. The product is fairly new to the market, as mentioned in our previous post, with multiple benefits. This product can be installed in one day, which allowed the homeowners to use the shower sooner. In addition, these panels do not use any grout, making them easier the clean. We installed a storage system and grab bars for added function. 

In the past, humidity had caused paint to peel off the walls, so our client wanted to use a tile wainscoting from floor to ceiling.  For charm and appeal, we used a hand painted border, with different tiles above and below it. The wall tile is from Mediterranea USA  ’s touch series, from H. Winter & Co. Tile . The tile has a woven, fabric-like texture.  By using the same series, but in different colors and sizes, we gain visual interest without losing cohesiveness throughout the room.  

Additional project highlights include a vanity, ceramic counter top, tub and toilet, all from Kohler. Our designers chose a personal favorite, Florim USA’s Galaxy Series in Hazelnut, as the floor, also from H. Winter & Co. Tile.

Recently, we completed a beautiful master bath and hall bath project. We would like to spotlight the master bath which included features to help the homeowners age in place. Our goal was to allow for users with disabilities, while not having the space appear to be a “handicapped” bathroom. We utilized a linear shower drain to eliminate a curb into the shower for easy access. We also made the double vanity into a single vanity, allowing for a seated area for personal grooming.  Stylized grab bars were installed throughout the room.  Although the claw foot tub isn’t highly accessible, our client simply loved the way it looked as a statement piece. We couldn’t agree more on the tub, and feel the entire room turned out beautifully.
